Dear Ward 5 Neighbor,

Well, we did it!

Now everyone sees what can happen when a group of dedicated people pull together and work toward a common purpose. In all honesty, I am a bit stunned and very humbled by this experience, not to mention the results. It’s not so much that I succeeded – it’s that WE did. So, THANK YOU for everything that you did for me, for us, and this City.

We started this campaign by initiating a conversation regarding important issues in Ward 5 and in this City. People have taken note, and are now engaged in this discussion. This is the first step on the path toward effective action. So, forward we go.

Alas, this will not be the last you will be hearing from me, because now the real work begins. And to be an effective representative of you, I will look to you for your input and views on different matters and issues as they come up.

So, thank you again, and I look forward to working for you and representing you on the Board of Aldermen.
